• • Marvel's Daredevil, or simply Daredevil, is an American web television series created for Netflix by Drew Goddard, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the first in a series of shows that lead to The Defenders crossover miniseries. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Goddard Textiles, with DeKnight Productions for the first season. Steven S. DeKnightserves as showrunner on the first season, with Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez taking over for the second; Goddard serves as a consultant on both seasons.
    Charlie Cox stars as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a blind lawyer-by-day who fights crime at night. Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent D'Onofrio also star, with Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Bob Gunton, and Ayelet Zurer joining them for the first season, and Jon Bernthal, Élodie Yung, and Stephen Rider joining the cast for season two. Daredevil entered development in late 2013, a year after the film rights to the character reverted to Marvel, with Goddard initially hired in December 2013. DeKnight replaced him as showrunner and Cox was hired to star in May 2014. Filming takes place in New York City, in areas that still look like the old Hell's Kitchen.
    All episodes of the first season were released on Netflix on April 10, 2015, while the second season was released in its entirety on March 18, 2016. They were met with positive reviews. In July 2016, the series was renewed for a third season. A spin-off series, centered on Bernthal's character Frank Castle / Punisher and titled Marvel's The Punisher, was ordered by Netflix in April 2016.

How Polar Bear Attacked A Woman In Berlin Zoo (+18 video)

A polar bear attacked a woman at Berlin Zoo Friday afteroon after she climbed a fence and jumped into its habitat during feeding time, police said Saturday. One adult polar bit her several times after she plunged into the moat, police said.

 Zoo workers tossed rescue rings toward the woman to hoist her out and distract polar bears swimming nearby, said Goerg Gebhard, a Berlin police officer. At one point the woman fell back into the water and was grabbed by a bear before she was eventually hoisted to safety. "They saved her life," Gebhard told CNN. 

It's unclear why the woman entered the bear habitat, but police issued her a citation for trespassing. Berlin Zoo is home to Knut, the first polar bear to be born there in over 30 years. SEE VIDEO BELOW.....

 

 

Mercy Johnson Pregnant: Take A Break From Acting, Expecting Her Second Child

Sad news for the fans of top Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson: she decided to rest for a while from acting due to her pregnancy.

Admired by millions of Nigerians for her talented acting Mercy has confirmed taking a break through her media aide, Bigsam media, that stated: “she’s off work resting”.

The 29-year-old Lagos-born actress, living in a happy marriage with her hubby Prince Odianosen Okojie since August 2011, is expecting her second child and is said to be in her second trimester.

It would be recalled, however, that soon after delivery of her first baby girl, Purity, in the end of 2012 Mercy returned to acting.

Hopefully another break won’t be long, as one can hardly imagine the modern Nollywood without Mercy’s name in it.

Tonto Dikeh Finally Got One Monkey

Highly rumoured Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has got a new friend… and it is a monkey!

Tonto, who likes sharing fresh thoughts, so as events of her life, with her social media followers, took to Instagram with quite an unexpected piece of news.

The actress known for being a true animal lover, dogs in particular, made her long-time dream come true, when she finally got a monkey.

She posted the photo of her new pet and captioned it:

“I’ve alwayz wanted a monkey”

Nollywood beauty Angela Okorie recently took time off to talk with Punch reporters about her life, her alleged theft/romance scandal with Artiste Prosper.

The married actress revealed that the scandal did not even dent her marriage, and that her lovely husband is ok with her.

She said: I know Prince and Prosper connived and wrote all the rubbish about me. It doesn’t have any effect on my marriage.

My husband knows me and he knows I didn’t do anything wrong. He supports my career. My husband knows I have a lot of male friends and I have female friends too. My husband said I should even forget about the incident.

Their aim was to destroy my marriage but it didn’t happen. I hope Muma Gee knows the kind of man she is married to. I am a beautiful girl and I know a lot of people out there want something to do with me. But I am not that kind of person.

What you see on TV is the script. I don’t sleep around. How can I kiss Prosper? If I should have anything to do with a man, the guy has to be better than my husband and not somebody that looks like Prosper,” she said.

Girl Reveals: The Things Guys I Met On Social Media Did To Me

Ladies should really be careful. Not all guys you meet on the social media are genuine, especially now that too many chatting services are springing up here and there. Rough guys are taking advantage, shine you eyes.
Following her nasty experience in the hands of guys, a young lady, Elizabeth John Adie, has given oral evidence about how she was gang-rapéd by a group of men she met through a social networking site, 2GO.

According to her, the guys picked her in an ash colour vehicle with unknown registration number to Aso B area where they threatened her with knives, searched her handbag and took her two blackberry phones, cash of N8,000 and other foreign currencies, before raping her...

The case was mentioned at the Upper Area Court, Mararaba Gurku, Nasarawa State. One of the accused, 22-year-old Agbo Emmanuel, a school certificate holder has been in police detention since the incident occurred but was brought to court on February 11, charged with criminal conspiracy, intimidation, extortion, causing hurt and rape, all contrary to sections 97, 397, 292, 244, and 283 of the Penal Code Laws of Nigeria.

According to the police First Information Report, the victim reported at the ‘A’ Division Police Station, in the Mararaba area of Nasarawa, close to Abuja state on February 1, 2014, that on the same day at about 13:30hrs at Aso B, one Agbo Emmanuel and three others, Bright Ochigbon, Junior Udewenga and Anita, now at large, conspired and deceived her through the 2GO social network.

Elizabeth said after taking the items from her, the rough guys went ahead to rapé her in turns, adding that she had tried to resist but was cut with a knife by one of them on her right finger. The case continues.

Stella Damasus Blasts Critics Over Chibok Missing Girls

Few hours ago, Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau released a video showing the abducted girls in an undisclosed bush, promising to exchange them for arrested Boko Haram members held in custody by Nigerian security forces.

The video also played down claims that the whole kidnap saga of the missing Chibok girls, which has spurred worldwide protests, was just a political gimmick and hoax.


Stella Damasus, who was insulted sometimes ago when she protested the unlawful imprisonment of the young girls by the terrorist group, has now come out to slam her critics.

She fumed at those who called her names, asking, “where [are] all the cowards, ignorant, uneducated and uniformed twerps who went on a rampage to insult me and tell me how stupid I was for talking about the Chibok girls?

“Where are those that have been leaving comments and calling me names? Those that were trying to prove that the whole thing was a hoax and [that] I was spreading lies. I hope you have seen the latest released video of Boko Haram and you have heard their demands. Maybe now you will wake up and join the campaign. #BringBackOurGirls"

Asari Dokubo still insisting no girls are missing, leads protest against the girls

Despite a video released yesterday by Boko Haram showing the kidnapped Chibok girls, ex-militant Asari Dokubo is still insisting it's all a scam. He led an anti-bringbackourgirls protest yesterday and shared photos and the message above on his Facebook page. The real Abubakar Shekau is dead - SSS Spokesperson

At a briefing this evening with newsmen in Abuja following the release of a new video by Boko Haram showing kidnapped Chibok girls, spokesperson of the State Security Service (SSS), Ms Marilyn Ogar said the man in the video claiming to be Abubakar Shekau is not really Abubakar Shekau, that the real Shekau who is believed to have founded the dreaded sect, is dead
"Boko Haram has become a franchise, anybody can assume and lay claim to any name. What I know is that the original Abubakar Shekau is dead; the person claiming to be the national leader now is not the original Abubakar Shekau. If security sources tell you that somebody is dead, you don't have to come out and doubt that" she said

Chibok Female Abduction :Finally Top American General, Rodriguez, Arrives In Nigeria

After all the drama, foreign military experts including a top United States General, David Rodriguez, have arrived in Nigeria to assist the federal government in the rescue of the abducted Chibok female students.

Rodriguez became the third commander of US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) in Stuttgart, Germany, on April 5, 2013. The US Africa Command is one of six unified geographic combatant commands within the Department of Defence unified command structure. 

A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Rodriguez earned his commission from the US Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1976.

A military source who sought anonymity disclosed this to LEADERSHIP in Abuja on Monday.

Rodriguez has commanded at every level while his previous assignment was Commanding General of the US Army Forces Command. The renowned general’s additional commands include the International Security Assistance Force – Joint Command (IJC) in Afghanistan; the 82nd Airborne Division; 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division; and 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). 

He also commanded companies in 75th Ranger Regiment and 1st Armoured Division.

American Soldiers Arrive Nigeria To Flush Out Boko Haram

Following the approval of President Barack Obama for the deployment of US Marines to the troubled Nigeria for the search and rescue of over 200 school girls kidnapped by the dreaded Boko Haram sect, the troops are in Nigeria to help the country’s security services tackle increasing threats.

They are described in Wikipedia as “an amphibious, expeditionary, air-ground combined arms task force, capable of forcible entry from the air, land, and sea. It is capable of asymmetric warfare with conventional, irregular, and hybrid forces. 

While the Marine Corps does not employ any unique combat arms, as a force it can rapidly deploy a combined-arms task force to almost anywhere in the world within days.”

Nigeria is playing host to the 7th World Economic Forum Africa in Abuja amid heightened security challenges. The summit is expected to be attended by over 10 heads of state and government as well as over 900 delegates from 70 countries. Presidents of Algeria, Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania and Togo have confirmed attendance.

Former British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and former President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, are expected to attend. Also, over 50 chief executives of big global corporations have confirmed attendance. However, because of recent blasts in Nyanya – on the outskirts of Abuja – there have been heightened fears of a possible terror attack during the summit.

Nigerian government has been assuring the world that it would provide maximum security, announcing a
complete shut-down of schools and government offices during the summit. 6,000-strong Nigerian security operatives, made up of soldiers and other security agents, have been deployed in Abuja – the heaviest security for a summit in Nigeria.

For now, the US marines will first train Nigerians soldiers. The marines are highly specialised soldiers who have been deployed in areas affected by serious conflict and terrorism, such as Afghanistan and Iraq.
